Lessons from a Jazz Studies Alum for Students Who Want to Get Ahead

From UWGB's Jazz Studies program to leadership roles at Google, SpaceX and Jawbone, UW-Green Bay alum Randy Knaflic shares a high-level, student-focused keynote on getting ahead early. Drawing on lessons he first learned at UW-Green Bay—and later applied across fast-paced, high-growth environments. Randy offers a practical framework for building momentum, creating opportunities and developing the habits and relationships that help you stand out.

Biography

Randy Knaflic is a UW-Green Bay alum (Jazz Studies) and an operator, investor and advisor. He co-owns storytelling with data, leading strategy and operations alongside CEO and founder Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic. Previously, he held leadership roles at Google, SpaceX (VP of HR) and Jawbone (VP of People and Internal Operations). His work and life experiences span New York City, Zurich, Los Angeles and Silicon Valley. Randy lives in Wisconsin with his wife and three children, where he can still be heard playing saxophone in jazz big bands across the state.
