Vallari Chandna is a Professor of Management for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay.

She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Theory from University of North Texas (2016), her MBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from University of North Texas (2011) and a degree in law (BA.LL.B.-Honors) from RSTMN University, India (2007). She also has experience working in the retail and media industries.

Dr. Chandna teaches courses in Organizational Behavior, Sustainability Management, and the undergraduate business capstone course for all students, the Capstone in Business Strategy. Her past teaching also includes e-entrepreneurship and digital management, leadership, human resources, entrepreneurship, and business policy (capstone). She teaches the graduate course, Leading Sustainable Organizations in the UW-Extension’s Master of Science in Sustainable Management program, and the Alternative Futures and Strategic Foresight course for the Impact-MBA program.

Her current research interests are in strategy and entrepreneurship including digital entrepreneurship, new organizational forms (temporary organizations), cybersecurity, degrowth, sustainability, individual and organizational issues in start-ups, and inter-organizational relationships. Dr. Chandna’s work has been published in Journal of Business Research, Technovation, International Journal of Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Horizons, Journal of Business Strategies, Management Decision and Electronic Commerce Research among others. Given her interest in student research, she has co-authored a book chapter with a graduate student and numerous conference papers with undergraduate and graduate students. She has authored other book chapters, proceedings, posters etc. and presented her research at many regional, national, and international conferences including the Academy of Management Annual Conference (AOM), Southern Management Association Conference (SMA), Southwest Academy of Management Conference (SWAM), the International Conference on Entrepreneurship & Family Business (ICEFB),  the European Group for Organizational Studies Colloquium (EGOS), Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BCERC), and the Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship Conference (SEE) among others.

Dr. Chandna is actively involved with these professional bodies through her service as reviewer, discussant, session chair and track chair. She has served as a Board Member for Southwest Academy of Management.  She is also a journal reviewer for multiple academic journals as well as a member of the Editorial Review Board for the International Journal of Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility, the International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment, and International Journal of Strategic Decision Sciences. She is the also an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment. She helped students establish the Student Association for Management (SAM) in 2017 and served as its first faculty advisor till 2019.  Dr. Chandna has served on several Cofrin School of Business committees including the Assurance of Learning Committee (Chair). She has also served on the Student Success Committee, multiple recruitment committees, and chaired the Distinguished Speaker Series Committee. Dr. Chandna has also served on the Faculty Senate at the University level for multiple terms as well as chaired the Individualized Learning Committee. She is also a faculty associate of the Environmental Management and Business Institute (EMBI), on the advisory boards of the BIPOC RISE and the Institute of Women’s Leadership, as well as on the core committee of the Bias Incident Response Team for the University. She was also the first chair of the department of Marketing and Management (2019-2022) and also chaired the MS-Management program (2019-2022).
Dr. Chandna was also recognized by the Current Young Professionals of Green Bay as part of the Future 15 in 2023. Future 15 annually profiles 15 young professionals who are “currently influencing the growth, prosperity, and quality of life in Greater Green Bay and demonstrate the ability to positively impact the area in the future through professional accomplishments and community involvement.”
