Heather Kaminski
Heather Kaminski is an Assistant Professor of accounting for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay. She received a BA in Accounting from Lakeland College in 1995 and an MBA with an emphasis in Accounting from Lakeland College in 2003. She earned her DBA in Accounting from Anderson University (Anderson, IN) in 2020. She is a Certified Management Accountant.
Dr. Kaminski teaches Cost Accounting, Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting, Accounting Data Analytics, and Intermediate Accounting. Prior to joining UW-Green Bay, she spent 20 years in progressive financial and managerial accounting positions, covering manufacturing, service, and nonprofit industries.
Dr. Kaminski’s research interests include lean accounting, cost controls, and high-impact practices in teaching. In 2019, she was awarded the Excellence in Lean Accounting Educator Award from the Lean Enterprise Institute. She has published articles in the IMA Educational Case Journal and the Journal of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. She is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Accounting Association, the Government Finance Officers Association, and the Christian Business Faculty Association.
