His Ph.D. dissertation examines how social media influence information flows between the news media and the public, and thereby shape public opinion about immigration issues which can be quite controversial.

He also enjoys teaching and researching Sports Communication. He is especially interested in the associations between social issues and sports media, and their representations in digital media. He likes to use sports as teaching materials to help students understand better social issues and communication theories.

He is a big Sports fan and loves playing baseball, running, and bike riding. Also, he is a very extroverted person and enjoys interacting with family, friends, students, and colleagues.
