Aaron Weinschenk

Aaron Weinschenk is the Ben J. And Joyce Rosenberg Professor of Political Science and Chair of Political Science at UW-Green Bay. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science in 2013. His research focuses on political participation, elections, and campaigns. Over the past several years, he has published approximately 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and a book on elections.

Research

Dr. Weinschenk’s research focuses on political behavior in the United States. More specifically, he is interested in understanding (1) why some people are very involved in politics while others are not, (2) how psychological and biological traits influence political behavior, and (3) how campaigns influence voters during elections. To date, Dr. Weinschenk has published about 50 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as the British Journal of Political Science, Political Research Quarterly, Political Behavior, American Politics Research, and the Journal of Public Opinion, Parties & Elections. He also co-authored a book (published by Routledge Press) on elections in 2016.
