Mandy Banet
Mandy Banet has served as Director of the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity since June 2023. She works closely with staff on the Center’s core programs, including museums, research, outreach and education, and natural areas management. She also works with federal, state, and local partners and connects with donors and community stakeholders to advance the Center’s mission.
Previously, Mandy was a tenured professor at California State University, where she taught courses in ecology, led a research program focused on fish conservation and ecophysiology, and contributed to multi-agency habitat restoration and land management projects. She holds a B.A. in Biology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of California, Riverside.
