How to Apply for Spring 2027
Follow the steps below to complete your application.
Step1:Start Your Application
Start your application through GradCAS, UW-Green Bay’s new graduate application system. You’ll choose your intended start term, log in or create an account. Search for and select "Environmental Science & Policy (MS)."
Step2Submit Required Materials
Following the instructions provided in GradCAS, submit all required materials directly in GradCAS. In addition to the Office of Graduate Studies requirements, you must also submit the following program requirements:
- Statement of Interest (200–300 words) describing qualifications, scientific interests, relevant experience and (if applicable) potential faculty mentors.
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably one from a faculty advisor and one from an employer or supervisor, but both may be from a faculty advisor.
Step3:Select Your Degree Track
Indicate your preferred degree track in your application: Thesis, Practicum or Capstone. If no track is selected, you will be admitted to the Capstone Track by default. You can change tracks later with advisor approval.
- Thesis Track: You’re encouraged to connect with potential faculty advisors before applying, but it is not required.
- Practicum Track: Contact the program chair before applying to discuss opportunities and expectations.
- Capstone Track: No additional steps required at application.
Step4:Pay Your Application Fee
Then, you’ll complete your application by paying the application fee through GradCAS. The application fee is non‑refundable.
