Indoor Facilities
The Kress Events Center offers a variety of indoor facilities to meet your fitness and recreational needs.
Front Desk
The Front Desk is your first stop when entering the Kress Center. This is where members can purchase snacks and beverages and rent lockers, towels, and sports equipment. Our friendly front desk staff is ready to assist you with member services, check-in, purchases, rentals, and general information.
Indoor Pool
Peter F. Dorschel Natatorium
Dive into our Olympic-sized pool, ideal for training, competitive events, and recreational fun. Enjoy a variety of aquatic activities, including lap swim, open swim, aqua fitness classes, and private swim lessons. The UW-Green Bay pool features:
- 8 lanes
- 25-yard length
- 1-meter diving board
- 3-meter diving board
- 5-meter platform
- Moveable bulkhead
- Depths suitable for all levels
- Spectator gallery with glass partition
Fitness Center
Stay fit and strong with our state-of-the-art fitness center. Equipped with a weight floor, cardio deck, elevated indoor track and functional training areas, our 14,000 square foot facility has everything need to reach your fitness goals.
Group Fitness Studio
Get your heart pumping in our spacious, 1,768 square foot group fitness studio. With hardwood floors, integrated speakers, a mirror wall, and a ballet barre, this room is perfect for a variety of fitness classes.
Climbing Tower
Challenge yourself on our 28-foot climbing tower, featuring 800 square feet of climbing surface with six climbing stations and up to 20 unique routes.
Racquetball Courts
Stay active with our two racquetball courts. Also available for walleyball, these courts offer a fun and competitive experience. Racquets and balls are available for rental or purchase at the front desk.
4,000+ Seat Arena
Home to the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball and volleyball teams, our arena is a dynamic space for sporting events, graduation ceremonies, rallies, concerts and other large gatherings. The lower bowl seating capacity is 1,370, upper bowl capacity is 2,586, and there's dedicated, barrier-free wheelchair and companion seating on mezzanine level for at least 44.
Turf Gym
Our 12,000 square foot indoor turf gym provides a versatile space for athletes and recreational users alike. Featuring Field Turf artificial turf playing surface, our gym offers optimal performance and comfort. This facility is primarily used for Green Bay Phoenix soccer and softball practice, as well as student open recreation. It's a space for batting cage practice, intramural soccer and flag football games, and more.
East & West Gyms
When not divided by a partition, the combined space of the east and west gyms are 20,896 square feet. They can accommodate four basketball courts or four volleyball courts. These spaces are used mainly for open recreation and intramural sports.
Dick Bennett Gym
The Dick Bennett Gym's primary purpose is as an athletic practice facility for UW-Green Bay basketball and volleyball teams. The spacious, 17,460 sq. ft. auxiliary gym is located just inside the campus entrance to the Kress Events Center. The gym is also available for open rec and camp activities when it is not reserved.
Special Events Room
Host your next meeting, conference, or event in our versatile special events room. Equipped with a presentation screen and podium, it's ideal for various gatherings. An adjacent food prep area also makes this space is even great for catered events. Direct entrance to the arena makes this space excellent for VIP receptions.
Outdoor Facilities
The Kress Family Outdoor Recreation Complex and Shorewood Park offer a range of outdoor facilities for your enjoyment.
Aldo Santaga Soccer Stadium
This state-of-the-art soccer facility is part of a $4.9 million project. It features a turf field, enclosed press box, permanent bleachers that seat 500 people, and a restroom and concession building. It's home to the Green Bay Phoenix Soccer team and offers a premier soccer experience.
King Park Softball Stadium
With a full synthetic turf field, batting cages, a bullpen, and a press box, King Park is a top-notch softball facility. Host to Green Bay Phoenix Softball games and community rentals, it's a versatile space for softball enthusiasts.
Recreation Club Fields & Intramural Complex
Intramural and club sport and recreation fields are located across from East Circle Drive on a natural grass field where the former Aldo Santaga Stadium sat prior to 2018. The field still exists, now as a field for UW-Green Bay intramurals, with lights that were formerly used to light Lambeau Field for Green Bay Packer football games.
Shorewood Park
Formerly the Shorewood Golf Course, this recreational space is now home to the Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course and an 18-hole disc golf course. Enjoy running, walking, disc golfing or Nordic skiing in this beautiful outdoor setting.
