The Church Basement Ladies in the Last Potluck Supper

Saturday, June 28
Fireside Theater, Fort Atkinson
Cost: $129

Join us for lunch and a matinee performance at the Fireside Theater. The show begins in 1979, the day of the church’s Centennial Celebration, and past parishioners have gathered to share hotdish, bars, and stories from the last 100 years. As the women work in the kitchen, shared memories burst into life through a series of flashbacks. Travel back to 1897 and meet Vivian’s grandmother; see Karin as a newlywed cautiously navigating the politics of the kitchen; and be there in 1944 when Mavis first barreled her way through the door. The Centennial Celebration is bittersweet. Times are tough in this small farm community, and hard decisions will have to be made.

All are welcome. No Lifelong Learning membership is required. Cost includes transportation, dinner, dessert, gratuity and tickets to the show. Don't miss this special experience!

Lunch is at 11:15 a.m. and the show is at 1:30 p.m. Lunch includes Asian salad, fresh baked breads, lemon chess pie, coffee, tea and milk, and your choice of entree: braised pork belly, supreme cut chicken breast, Thai grilled shrimp or vegetarian cacciatore. We will also have time to shop at the Fireside shops after the show.

Leaving from Green Bay: Exact times will be send to travelers after they register, but we will meet in the morning on the UW-Green Bay campus (approx. 8 a.m.) and return to campus in the evening (approx. 6 p.m.). There will be no refunds if a traveler needs to cancel. If there are two or more people interested in being picked up from Manitowoc, please let us know and we will add that pickup location as well.

Register by Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
