For the fun of learning! The Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) offers courses in a wide range of topics each fall and spring semester in a variety of formats and lengths. Instructors share their passions with lots of opportunities for questions, comments and discussion. No tests, no papers and no credits.

Quick Tips

Here are a few helpful tips to help with the registration process.

Become a Member

Become a paid member by Monday, July 21 in order to receive a registration link for Tuesday, July 29. Once you submit your info and payment, you’ll get a confirmation email.

Tuition Assistance

LLI may cover 50% of the registration fee for those who qualify for Homestead Credit. Consideration for full scholarships will be considered for extenuating circumstances. Email lli@uwgb.edu to request assistance.

Refund Policy

LLI reserves the right to cancel any courses due to conditions beyond reasonable control. Full or partial annual membership fees will not be refunded. Any course-specific fees for canceled courses not already in session will be refunded.

Registration Steps

Process for Existing & New Members

Below are the steps for existing and new members to register for classes and become members.

1. Become a Paid Member by Monday, July 21

Once you submit your info and payment, you’ll get a confirmation email. You must be a paid member at least one week before class registration if you wish to register on July 29. You may join anytime after July 21, but you will not receive a priority registration time for July 29.

2. Browse Classes

Use the catalog you received or browse courses online. Start building your wish list!

3. Receive Your Personalize Registration Time

Confirmed members will receive a personalized registration time via email between July 22-25. Look for an email from lli@uwgb.edu with the subject “Personalized Registration Time.”

4. Register for Classes on July 29

At your personalized registration time on registration day, July 29, you will receive a registration link by email from lli@uwgb.edu. You will need to register for classes using this link. No registration link will be available on the website

5. Opting for waitlisting

If a course is full, it will say 'Join Waitlist.' If you wish to be added to the waitlist, please select the waitlisted class. Waitlisted classes do not count towards your 15 courses.

6. Review sessions

After registering, scroll back up and hit "Review Sessions." Find classes in date order or use the search bar. Hit "Add" and make sure the button turns green to "Added." Then you will know you have added the class.

7. Adding more classes

After the initial registration, all existing and new members will receive an email with a list of classes that still have openings. Members are able to add more classes by emailing the LLI office at lli@uwgb.edu.

8 Enjoy your classes

Every semester, we offer 150-250 classes for our members to enjoy, including crafts, culture, history and the natural world. There are classes for everyone in LLI.
