Name Professorships
Named professorships channel additional resources to some of our top faculty members, helping to underwrite cutting-edge research, outstanding teaching and valuable community service.
At UW-Green Bay, named professorships support the innovative and creative work of current outstanding faculty. By providing additional financial resources for research assistants, professional development, equipment and other uses, faculty are able to improve their teaching effectiveness. In turn, our students are ensured of working side-by-side with faculty on the latest developments in their field.
Donors who generously endow named professorships realize that they are not only ensuring academic excellence in teaching today, but that theirs is truly a gift of a lifetime. Named professorships are synonymous with academic excellence and are vital at UW-Green Bay, where students and faculty value the classroom experience.
A named professorship can be established through the UW-Green Bay Foundation with a gift of $200,000 or more.
Endowed Chairs
Endowed chairs offer many benefits to the University, the donor, educators and, most importantly, students.
At UW-Green Bay, endowed chairs allow the University to hire established scholars with national and international reputations. The faculty members who are chair holders receive recognition for personal achievements in their fields, and the satisfaction that the University supports research and quality teaching in their discipline. Students are challenged and guided by exposure to the highest quality academic leadership.
Donors who generously endow chairs know that they are not only ensuring academic excellence in teaching today, but that theirs is truly a gift of a lifetime. Endowed chairs are living memorials, perpetuating the donor's name, signifying a permanent commitment to quality education.
An endowed chair can be established through the UW-Green Bay Foundation with a gift of $2 million or more.
Special Equipment
The Theatre program gratefully accepts donations of furniture and furnishings in good condition. We are primarily in need of period or antique pieces to furnish period plays. Our storage space is very limited so we need to be selective in what we can keep, but we welcome calls and information about items you may wish to donate. Contact Thomas Campbell, 920-465-2735. We also accept donations of scripts and musical theatre scores. Contact Rebecca Stone Thornberry 715-504-3318.
