Whitewater Raft Peshtigo River

Come with us on a high adrenaline day excursion as Kosir’s raft company guides us down the Peshtigo River! At class II-IV whitewater, the Peshtigo is a pride and joy of Wisconsin whitewater enthusiasts and at about an hour away, it is right in our back yard! Come get your hair wet and your blood pumping on this high speed naturally formed rollercoaster ride for a great way to spend a Saturday.

Canoe and Kayak St. Croix River

Join UREC Outdoors on a multi-day river expedition you won’t want to end! As one of the country’s first designated National Scenic Rivers the St. Croix River is a Wisconsin gem and a location every paddle enthusiast should visit. At times wide and slow and others rocky and fast, this local treasure truly offers something for every paddler. Join us on this 20+ mile downriver adventure and enjoy rock gardens, flatwater, whitewater, and slough paddling, all in one weekend!

Rock Climb Horseshoe Canyon Ranch

Get the climbing season kicked off in the best way with a weekend jaunt to the one-and-only Horseshoe Canyon Ranch! Home to the renowned “24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell” climbing competition, HCR is a climbing mecca offering countless opportunities for brand new climbers and experts alike. This horseshoe shaped canyon boasts 500+ climbing routes, none of which are more than a short hike apart. Trip south with UREC Outdoors to this spectacular sandstone climbing area nestled in the Arkansas backwoods and don’t forget your camera!

Backpack Porcupine Mountains

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness, MI

April 23-26

Join UREC Outdoors as we backpack through one of the only remaining large wilderness areas in the Midwest! The Porcupine Mountains span the Upper Peninsula of Michigan along Lake Superior and contains portions of the famous North Country Trail stretching from North Dakota to New York. Enjoy the scenery on this introductory backpacking trip as we hike the Lake of the Clouds loop in one of the oldest hardwood old-growth forests in the country.

Rock Climb Sugar Loaf

Winona, MN

May 1-3

Join us on this introductory level climbing trip and see what real rock has to offer! The Sugar Loaf of Winona, MN is a freestanding rock pinnacle topping a 500 foot bluff that towers over Lake Winona and the town itself. One of Minnesota’s most famous landmarks, the Sugar Loaf is home to climbing routes suitable for anyone from first-time beginners to introductory level advanced climbers. Enjoy a weekend of relaxing camping and excellent climbing just past the Minnesota border, and remember to take in the view!
