The Double-Bind of Likability

Wednesday, February 15, 2023

Jenn's Java or Virtual

We all have an innate desire to be liked and it is human nature to seek approval from others. This presents a challenge for career women. Women can be likeable and women can be competent. But in today’s professional world, they rarely are described as both. The qualities and traits of a male leader are often the same as those that lead to negative labels for women. Join us as we discuss this likeability double-bind and the ways it can hold women back at work.
