We're Still Dancing

Thanks to everyone who attended Celebrate 2023.

We hosted an evening of connection, learning and inspiration for women in Northeast Wisconsin on April 20. Over 400 hundred women and allies came together to celebrate with us. Keep the excitement going and join us at any of our monthly events to learn, connect and celebrate each other. We'd love to see you at an upcoming Caffeinated Conversation or Stories from Experience!

Did You Hear?

We have a new name.

Last week at Celebrate 2023, we announced Schreiber Foods gave a generous (and significant!) donation to the Institute. The donation will propel women's leadership forward by providing long-term sustainability for the Institute. Along with the gift comes our new name: Schreiber Foods Institute for Women's Leadership at UW-Green Bay.

It's Not About Being Perfect.

It's about being perfectly you.

Mariana Atencio inspired everyone with a presentation about "The Magic of Authenticity." The Latina journalist and author shared her experience of feeling different and how she learned to flip the script, turning her unique traits to her advantage and incidentally learning that being authentic made her happier and more fulfilled. Now she's committed to sharing that message. You, too, can GoLikeMariana.

The Headwinds Women Face

The incomparable Laurie Butz, President and CEO of Capital Credit Union, shared stories the crowd could relate to as a women leader in Northeast Wisconsin, and the particular headwinds she faced on her rise to leadership. Watch three short clips from Laurie's presentation.
