Adriana McCleer is the Community Partnerships Supervisor at Appleton Public Library where she cultivates programs, services, community engagement, outreach and partnerships with and for teens and adults. Originally from Wisconsin, she found her path to librarianship through an AmeriCorps service program in Phoenix, Arizona. Adriana earned her Master’s in Library Science from the University of Arizona and Ph.D. in Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her approach to library work is asset-based, collaborative, and community-centered. This approach grew out of volunteer service as a young adult and flourished working with creative, forward-thinking colleagues and community partners over two decades of her career.
