Job Searching Online
The Internet is an extremely important resource for the job and internship search. Whether you are identifying internships or full-time positions, the sites below are provided to assist you with this process.
A Note of Caution regarding Accessing Job Boards and Resume Databases on the Internet
When responding to position advertisements or posting a resume on an Internet job board or website, take caution to only provide appropriate information to allow an organization to contact you as a prospective job candidate. Job seekers should not provide unusual information electronically to an employer such as social security numbers, credit card numbers and other details that the majority of employers never request. These types of information are never needed by an employer EXCEPT when positions are offered, contracts signed, or a background or credit check is completed later in the interview or search process.
Please be aware of any unusual requests for information from an employer - especially via electronic request when you have not physically met a representative of the organization. If you have concerns about any request of information, please share that directly with Career Services and our staff can advise you on how to proceed. As always, if you have any questions, please direct them to a staff member in Career Services.
