Phi Alpha Theta, our history honor society here at UW-Green Bay, is committed to encouraging researching, providing publication opportunities for students and promoting the exchange of learning among historians.

About Phi Alpha Theta

With a membership larger than the population of Iceland and over 970 chapters nationwide, you’ll expand your network exponentially by joining Phi Alpha Theta. Started in 1921, the club seeks to connect students and professors together for intellectual and social exchanges to promote historical research and publication.

Membership Requirements

To qualify for induction into Phi Alpha Theta, students must:
  • Complete a minimum of 12 history credits.
  • Maintain at least a 3.1 GPA in their history courses.
  • Maintain a 3.0 overall GPA.
Eligible students will be contact by Professor Heidi Sherman during the spring semester.
