Watch out for sensory level graphics on promotional materials for events like posters, digital signage, emails, social media and at event entrances. Recognizing these graphics will help you know what to expect and feel more confident participating in campus events.
Please note that sensory graphics on marketing materials indicate the expected sensory level at an event and may see more or less stimuli than predicted.
Low Sensory Environment
- Smaller crowds
- No/low music or audio
- Low movement
- Consistent lighting
- Low scents
- Quiet spaces easily accessible
Moderate Sensory Environment
- Moderate crowds
- Moderate noise level
- Some bright lights or lighting effects
- Some movement
- Some scents may be present
High Sensory Environment
- Larger crowds
- Louder noises
- Bright/flashing lights
- Higher movement
- Strong scents possible
- Varying temperatures and textures
