Michelle Gauger MS, LPC, CSAC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with our Counseling and Health Center joining the team this summer (2018).
Michelle provides individual counseling to students and staff related to different concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, LGBTQ, relationship issues, substance abuse, trauma as well as other issues that may be getting in someones way.
Michelle obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from UW-Stevens Point and a Master’s Degree from UW-Milwaukee in Educational Psychology – Community Counseling. Michelle has worked for several years providing mental health and substance abuse treatment in a variety of settings.

Michelle’s approach to counseling is person centered and strength based using motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy strategies to inform her work.
In her spare time Michelle enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling, home improvement projects and reading.
