Find where your interests and creativity fit into the diverse areas of emphasis in our art major. You'll have the option between art education, pre-art therapy and studio art. Even as an art minor, you have options between studio art and art history. So much to explore!
Art Education
Inspire creativity for the next generation. Depending on what grade you'd like to teach, you'll also major or minor in Education. As an art major, you'll focus on the intersection between art history and the process of making art.
Pre-Art Therapy
Art is cathartic. It can help you make more sense of the world—and of yourself. Through pre-art therapy, you'll be prepared to enter grad school and get on the path to become an art therapist.
Studio Art
This emphasis hones in on making art. Our nine studio areas give you the chance to experiment with your creativity. But you won't just focus on making art; you'll also learn about history to provide contextual and cultural knowledge.
