Become an LLI Member by July 20
To register for fall classes on August 4, 2026, you need to be a paid Lifelong Learning Institute member by July 20. After July 20, you can still become a member to register for classes, but you won't receive a priority registration time for August 4; instead, you'll be able to register for classes starting August 5 or later.
Evaluate Your Tuition Assistance Eligibility
The UW-Green Bay Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) may cover 50% of the registration fee for those who qualify for Homestead Credit. To be considered for full scholarships for extenuating circumstances, send an email to LLI to request assistance.
Receive Your Registration Time
As a registered LLI member before July 20, you'll receive a personalized registration time in your email by July 31. Look for an email from lli@uwgb.edu with the subject “Personalized Registration Time.”
Prepare Your Class Selections
Classes fill quickly. Prior to August 4, browse the catalog you received or online, and start building your class wish list! You can pick up to 15 classes.
Register for Classes on August 4
At your personalized registration time on registration day, August 4, you will receive a registration link by email from lli@uwgb.edu. You will need to register for classes using this link. No registration link will be available on the website.
Join a Waitlist
If a course is full, it will say 'Join Waitlist.' If you wish to be added to the waitlist, please select the waitlisted class. Waitlisted classes don't count towards your maximum 15 courses.
Review Sessions
Find classes in date order or use the search bar. Click "Add" and make sure the button turns green to "Added." Then you will know you have added the class. After making your selections, scroll back up and click "Expand" to review your list. Click "Register" to finalize your registration.
Add More Classes
After the initial registration, all existing and new members will receive an email with a list of classes that still have openings. This list will come out later in August. As a member, you'll be able to add more classes by emailing the LLI office at lli@uwgb.edu.
Enjoy Your Classes!
Every semester, we offer 250+ classes for our members to enjoy, including crafts, culture, history and the natural world. There are classes for everyone in LLI.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) follows the guidance of Green Bay Area Public School District, Manitowoc Public School District, Marinette Public School District and the Sheboygan Public School District for class cancellations. If the school district cancels classes in a community due to bad weather, LLI classes are also canceled in that community. Classes may be canceled in the Manitowoc area and still be held in the Green Bay area. If the school district has a two-hour delay, then LLI classes that begin at 10 a.m. or later are held as scheduled.
Please monitor scrolling school cancellations at the bottom of the screen as aired by your local TV station. Some members choose to sign-up for a school cancellation app from either the TV stations or school districts and be notified by text of any cancellation.

Refund Policy
New in Fall 2026, LLI will no longer be issuing refunds if a member chooses to cancel a course. Please keep this in mind when registering. Failure to pay course fees at least two weeks prior to the class start date will result in removal from the course. LLI reserves the right to cancel any courses due to conditions beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to low enrollment, disaster, inclement weather, health emergency, unavailability of supplies, acts of God or any other circumstance. In the case of course cancellations, full or partial annual membership fees will not be refunded. Any course specific fees for canceled courses not already in session will be refunded.
