Residual Placement Testing

Students not able to do Regional Placement Testing in the Spring will take the Residual Placement Test. If you are a current student and wish to test on one of the dates below, please sign up at the link below. Individual appointments are available upon request but it is highly recommended that you attend a group testing date. Any student requesting an individual testing date will be charged a proctoring fee of $5.00 per test which will be payable upon testing in the form of exact cash or check. It is advised to attend the group dates which are free!  (Non-UWGB students will be charged a fee of $15 per test for Math and English Testing, and $10 for World Language Testing when requesting an individual appointment.)

ALL UW-Green Bay students are required to take the Wisconsin Mathematics Placement Test (WMPT). The only exception is for students who transfer in a college course equivalent to or higher than Math 094, Math 099, Math 100, Bus Adm 220, or Comm Sci 205.  If you have not taken this test yet, you should plan to do so on one of the next available test dates listed below.  These dates are specific to the Green Bay campus and testing occurs in Green Bay.  If you were admitted to the Manitowoc, Marinette, or Sheboygan locations, see the testing contact information below.

Date:  Due to COVID-19 virus and campus closures, all placement testing is currently suspended until at least July 1, 2020 when the campus may reopen again.)

For each of the test dates above, only the Math test will be given.  If the World Language test is also needed (or English test for students w/o ACT or SAT scores), an individual appointment will need to be set up at a prior/later time unless you will only be taking the World Language test during the test session, in which case you need to indicate this on the online sign-up.  Contact Pam Gilson for more details: gilsonp@uwgb.edu or 920-465-2221.

Bring photo ID, non-graphing calculator and #2 pencils to test session.

Photo identification REQUIRED! The University of Wisconsin requires students to show a government-issued photo identification document such as driver’s license, state-issued ID or passport when they arrive to take placement tests. Students will not be allowed to test without providing an appropriate photo ID.
