Ensuring a Healthy Environment

Help us maintain a healthy and environmentally friendly campus.

At UW-Green Bay, our Safety and Environmental Management team serves as the university's guardian of both people and environment. We work to ensure every laboratory experiment, campus construction project and daily operation meets the standards set by federal, state and local authorities. From protecting students and staff in research facilities to safeguarding the natural beauty of our Green Bay campus, we create the secure foundation to allow innovation and learning to flourish safely and sustainably.

Report a Safety Concern

If this is an emergency, call 911. University police, fire and rescue personnel will be dispatched to you. If there is no emergency, but you still need an officer, contact 2300, or 920-465-2300.
If you have a safety concern that's not an emergency, use the Safety Reporting Form to report a concern. For further information, see our protocols (pdf) and instructions (pdf) for reporting safety concerns.

Safety Data Sheets

Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are references used to inform you of the hazards associated with chemicals, as well as appropriate precautions. They can be found from the internet sources listed for the manufacturers of chemicals we use on our campuses and are also located in department stockrooms.

Working in Isolation

If you're working in isolation, that means you won't be able to receive immediate assistance if an incident occurs. For that reason, you'll need to complete a permit form.
