What is Brand Licensing?
Brand licensing is a contractual agreement where UW-Green Bay allows a third party vendor to use their name, logos or other visual branding for fees and royalties. It ensures that all products using UW-Green Bay names and branding meet quality, design and institutional standards. The brand licensing process:
- Protects the integrity of the UW-Green Bay and Green Bay Phoenix brands
- Ensures consistency across all merchandise
- Supports trusted partnerships with vendors
- Helps products move to market faster with clear expectations
What’s Changing
We’ve moved to an in-house approval process—no more submitting through CLC. If you're a current vendor, you will need to get re-approved.
What this means for you:
- Faster turnaround times (no more 4–6 week delays)
- Direct communication with UW-Green Bay reviewers
- Clearer feedback and fewer revision cycles
Sales Rules:
- Only approved brick-and-mortar retailers may sell UW-Green Bay or Green Bay Phoenix merchandise in-store
- Online sales are limited to the official Phoenix Store
- All products must be approved before production
