What to expect

Incoming freshmen are expected on campus on Sunday, Septemer 2nd, 2018 for the beginning of Orientation. Orientation activities will officially start with the Campus Welcome Rally, held at 3:30pm in Phoenix Park!
On-campus students may move into their rooms on the morning of September 2nd, 2018 between 8:30am - 12:00pm (see your room assignment letter for your scheduled move-in time). There will be lots of help available during this time and you can meet members of the campus community and perhaps the Phoenix Mascot. Make sure to pick up your official Orientation name tag!
New to Orientation this year is a community service project featuring clean-up of some of our local waterways that will be followed up by celebration at Lambeau Field that will include food, music and selfies with the field in the background! This will be Monday, September 3 starting at 1:15pm. Orientation for first-year students officially runs from Sunday, September 2nd through Tuesday, September 5th. During these three days, you will meet other students, faculty and staff. You will get the opportunity to learn about the University and the Green Bay Community. You will interact with faculty and learn about expectations inside and outside of the classroom. There are many events planned to help you get comfortable with campus and your peers.

Important University offices and the Phoenix Bookstore will be open during Orientation. University Dining will also be open for lunch on move in day. 


Cost of the Program

How Much Does FOCUS Cost?

The fee for the entire FOCUS series - which continues throughout your first year - is $212.00, applies to all new freshmen and will be included on your tuition bill.

Refund Calendar

If you withdraw from UW-Green Bay the refund calendar is:

75% refund ($159.00)

  • Withdrawal from the time tuition is calculated (early August) until the Sunday before Orientation.

40% refund ($84.80)

  • Withdrawal from the start of Orientation until the end of the second week of classes.

25% refund ($53.00)

  • Withdrawal during the third and fourth week of classes.

No refund

  • Withdrawal after the fourth week of classes.
