Is GB Orientation impacted by COVID-19?
Keeping your safety in mind, the GB Orientation experience moved online for 2020. UW-Green Bay transformed the orientation experience into a dynamic program that guides you throughout the summer and prepares you for the start of your UW-Green Bay journey in the fall. We are confident in still being able to provide you a quality orientation over the course of the summer to help in your transition to UWGB! Find out more about our Summer Schedule of GB Orientation!‚Äč

How will the Fall 2020 semester be impacted by COVID-19?
UW-Green Bay is intending to instruct students through methods in the fall semester that will allow them to be safe and successful. Planning is in place for a number of modes of instruction. To find out more about each mode visit our Fall 2020 Learning Options website.

Updates regarding the the fall semester will be published to the UW-Green Bay COVID-19 Q&A webpage as they become available. If there are changes to any of your scheduled classes, you will be sent an update directly to your UWGB email.

Is this program required?
GB Orientation is the best way to make connections and prepare to begin your time as a UWGB student. All of the information is designed to support your transition to college and success in your first year. Participation in this orientation is strongly recommended!
 
What if I need help scheduling my GB Orientation day?
Reach out! We would be happy to answer your questions and help you with scheduling your GB Orientation day! Contact GBOSS (Green Bay One Stop Shop) at 920-465-2111 or gboss@uwgb.edu if you will be attending the Green Bay campus.

Where do I register for GB Orientation at the Marinette, Manitowoc, or Sheboygan campus?

Where do I find my username and password?
Your admission packet has your initial username and password, which you will need to log in to email, SIS, etc. If you can't find that information or if it is not working, please call the IT Help Desk at 920-465-2309 for assistance. NOTE: Do not include "@uwgb.edu" at the end of your username when logging into SIS.

What if I am not able to register for Math Placement Testing?
Due to complications with new students testing for Fall 2020 term and COVID-19, UW-Green Bay is no longer requiring the WI Math Placement Test for Fall 2020 first-year students. UW-Green Bay is exploring other methods for Math Placement (using ACT or SAT Math scores) and you will be notified of your placement during your phone or virtual advising session.

Where do I purchase my textbooks?
You can find your course materials on The Phoenix Bookstore Website. They have information about purchasing and renting textbooks. You can use the buttons below to navigate as well as watch a "how to" video.


What do I need to know about on-campus housing?
You can find all the information you need by visiting the Residence Life website. You view your building floor plan, find out what to bring, or contact them if you have any questions.

If all of my courses move on-line, can I cancel my housing contract?
If you would like to cancel your housing contract, please contact Residence Life by calling (920) 465-2040 or by emailing housing@uwgb.edu. You can also submit a contract cancellation request at https://sis.uwgb.edu/reslife/cancelrequest/

How do I pick my dining plan?
You can use the buttons below to find out more information about meal plans. Students in on-campus residence halls are required to have a meal plan but can choose the option that is best for them. Students select their meal plan near the end of July when going through their housing express check-in. (NOTE: Students in on-campus apartments are not required to have a meal plan.)

How do I get my UW-Green Bay student ID?
Our University Union staff has developed a plan for you to get your student ID in mid-late August. Watch your UW-Green Bay email at the beginning of August for updates!

How will I find my classrooms?
Our Student Ambassadors will provide an opportunity during GB Welcome to guide you around campus to show you exactly where each of your classrooms will be located.
