Scholarships Offered

The Humanities program offers several scholarships and awards for outstanding students who are declared majors or minors in Humanities and its related disciplinary majors.  Each Spring scholarships are offered for the following academic year to qualifying Humanities students who are enrolled full-time at UW-Green Bay and meet the specified criteria. Scholarships are granted for a single year with half of the amount applied to each semester.

The following scholarships are awarded annually:

Coryl Crandall Memorial Scholarship Available to declared majors or minors in Humanities and its related disciplinary majors
Eugene Cruz-Uribe Annual Memorial Scholarship for Historical Studies Available to declared majors in History
Thomas E. Daniels Memorial Scholarship Available to declared English and Modern Languages majors or minors
Lise Lotte Gammeltoft Scholarship Available to declared majors in Humanities and its related disciplinary majors
Arnold Lelis Scholarship Available to declared majors or minors in Humanities or History

Several finalists will be honored for each award, although they may not receive a cash award.  Scholarship offerings may vary each year.

As specified in the scholarship criteria, applications require a one page essay or statement, a letter/s of recommendation, and a copy of unofficial transcripts. Students are encouraged to request their letter/s of recommendation well in advance of the deadline.  Only completed applications with all required materials will be considered.
