Admission to the UW Master of Science in Sustainable Management program requires:
  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a regionally or nationally accredited university and a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. Students with a GPA less than 3.0 may be considered for a provisional admission and should connect with Student Services for more information.
  • UW System application form (
  • $56.00 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions of higher learning from which 9 or more credits have been attempted are required. If you attended less than 9 credits you do not have to send an official transcript unless the courses completed were pre-requisites for the program. Study abroad transcripts are not required if a student attended an international University for one or fewer semesters. NOTE: If you attended UW-Green Bay you do not have to send UW-Green Bay transcripts.*
  • Resume: your resume may be uploaded as part of your application or can be emailed to 
  • Two letters of evaluation** or letters of recommendation (can be professional or academic).
  • A personal statement of up to 1,000 words describing the reasons behind your decision to pursue this degree, your short- and long-term career goals, and the value you believe you will add to the learning experience of your fellow students. Space for the personal statement is included in the online application.
  • International students will also need to provide the following documentation:
    • A test of English proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS)
    • Course-by-course transcript evaluation from a professional evaluation service currently recognized by NACES ( UW-Green Bay recommends one of the following evaluation services:

How to Apply

Step 1

Select a “home” campus from our list of program partners:  UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, UW-ParksideUW-Stout, and UW-Superior.

Step 2

Apply to your preferred home campus using the University of Wisconsin System Online Admission Application. A nonrefundable $56 application fee is required for most graduate degree-seeking students applying to a UW System institution.

Step 3

Send your resume to
*Official electronic transcripts must be sent to UWGB Admissions at directly from the institution that issued the transcript. 
**Letters of evaluation are to be initiated by the applicant and sent to two references. The reference must complete the form and email directly to the Office of Graduate Studies: Traditional letters of recommendation are not required, but will be accepted directly from the reference.
