Jamie Sadogierski has been teaching science in the Appleton Area School District since 2004. Currently, she is the environmental science teacher at Appleton North High School. Her environmental science students participate in many hands on learning experiences such as doing wetland analysis studies in the school's pond, investigating restored native plant species in the school's prairie, and engaging in a yearlong phenology field study. During the summer, Jamie teaches environmental science-themed enrichment classes for elementary students in the district. Appleton North joined the Lower Fox River Watershed Management Program in 2010. Jamie has really enjoyed being a participant in this program. She appreciates the opportunities it provides her students to do real science outside of the classroom. Students have enjoyed learning about their local watershed and more about the environment they live in. In addition to being an advisor for the Lower Fox River Watershed Management Program, Jamie is an advisor for Appleton North's environmental club.

Sheryl Stidham-Gebert is a science teacher at Appleton North High School in Appleton, WI. After completing a B.S from Purdue University, she moved to Wisconsin with her family, where she completed the teaching degree program at UW-Oshkosh. Having taught for two years in Texas, she returned to the Fox Valley, where she began teaching at Appleton North. She has continued teaching there for the past sixteen years. She completed her master's degree from Marian University in 2002. The students at Appleton North began participating in the Lower Fox River Watershed Management Project in 2010. The students have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to do real science in which they get dirty and get out into the field on Apple Creek. Besides the amazing T-shirts that were designed and worn, the team has jelled to become a highly functional group. Older students mentor the younger students, lab techniques are refined and practiced, and clear communication skills have developed as the project has progressed. Besides standing knee-deep in a mucky stream to do data collection, she enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with her family.

Charlie Frisk has taught in the Luxemburg-Casco School District for 30 years. Throughout those 30 years he has worked hard at finding ways to get students involved in field research. The LFRWMP provides the perfect opportunity for that. The LFRWMP is an important part of the total package available for those students who have a strong interest in the environment. Along with performing research on Baird Creek his students are also actively involved in invasive species removal, and prairie and savanna plantings in the Baird Creek watershed. Many of the students who participate in the LFRWMP also compete on the L-C Envirothon team. The Envirothon is a state competition testing knowledge of forestry, wildlife, water resources, and soils. The L-C team consistently places in the top three and in was the state champion in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Knowledge gained from the LFRWMP plays an important role in the student's Envirothon preparation. Charlie is the president of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation, Vice President of the Clean Water Action Council and participated in the LFRWMP for 15 years.

I have a bachelor's degree in Science Education from UW-Madison where I was part of a unique opportunity to create curriculum for Northeast Wisconsin middle schools that infused the culture of the Menominee and Oneida tribes with science. I teach a wide variety of courses at Ashwaubenon High School including Integrated Science, Biology, Conservation of Natural Resources, Ichthyology, and Environmental. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, camping and hiking, and hanging out with my wife, daughter, and two dogs.
