Admission Requirements

To apply to the Applied Biotechnology program, you must submit the minimum application requirements from the Office of Graduate Studies as well as the prerequisite coursework of either two semesters of biology with lab; or two semesters of chemistry with lab; or one semester of biology with lab and one semester of chemistry with lab. Select the appropriate start term below to learn more about the program specific requirements and how to apply.

International Students

This program is 100% online. International students are welcome to apply and enroll. However, you are unable to apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa based on enrollment in the program. In addition to the application materials, you will need to provide further documentation.

Because UW-Green Bay is transitioning to a new graduate application system, your application process depends on the term you plan to start. Choose your entry term below to find the right path forward. The application fee of $56 is non-refundable. 

Fall 2026 Application

If you plan to begin the program in Fall 2026, you’ll apply using the Universities of Wisconsin application.

  • Applications close: August 25, 2026
  • Classes begin: September 2, 2026

Spring 2027 Application

If you plan to start in Spring 2027 or any future term, you’ll apply through GradCAS.

  • Applications open: April 20, 2026
  • Applications close: January 13, 2027
  • Classes begin: January 25, 2027
