Achievements

High academic achievement could give you direct admission to our program.

The Nurse Scholar Option is for high school seniors who demonstrate academic accomplishments suggestive of success in a nursing program. Nurse scholars are guaranteed admission to the BSN program during their sophomore year provided they maintain a 3.3 cumulative GPA and meet the admission requirements.

Application Timeline

  • The Nurse Scholar application is available starting January 15.
  • Applications are due by April 15.
  • Successful applicants will be notified by May 1 of their status in the program

The selection committee will consider the following in the decision process:

  1. Academic Variables like High School GPA and grades in science and math courses.
  2. Non-academic variables like volunteering, community service and and your video response to the application questions.

Nurse Scholar Application

While there are limited spots for the Nurse Scholar (Direct Entry) option, if you're not selected, you can apply to the nursing program when you meet admission requirements for the BSN program.
