Research & Technical Assistance

The Center serves the community by collaborating with public and nonprofit organizations to conduct applied, or
decision-focused research. With expertise in program evaluation and community-based research, the Center collaborates with public and community organizations to conduct surveys, compile secondary data, lead focus groups and more. The Center's reports illuminate decisions for community stakeholders.

Our CFPA Policy Snapshot series are an example of our community research. Policy Snapshot reports are objective and concise analyses of important policy issues within our community. More about CFPA Policy Snapshots

The Center also obtains grant funding for research activities.  Faculty of the Center pursue scholarly research in a wide variety of areas, including environmental policy and planning, natural resource policy, regulatory policy, comparative politics, sustainability, program evaluation and nonprofit management.
