Join us for a theatrical day trip! 9 to 5 The Musical is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, based on the book by Patricia Resnick. Set in the late 1970s. this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot!

Leaving from Manitowoc and Green Bay: The coach bus will pick up from UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus, and Hoffman Road park-and-ride in Green Bay. We will go to Theater on the Bay on the Marinette campus to see the show. The show begins at 2 p.m. There are no refreshments available at the venue, but beverages (water, soda, ice tea) will be provided on the bus. The price for this day trip is $72, which includes transportation via coach bus from either site, ticket price and a meal served family style at Embers 1871.

Join us for a theatrical day trip! In Ripcord, sparks fly when sweet and sour retirees become roommates. Welcome to New Jersey’s Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, where the gloriously grumpy Abby plots to evict her new roommate, the perpetually sunny Marilyn. A seemingly harmless bet between the women for the bed by the window quickly escalates into a highly charged duel of emotionally intensifying and outrageous pranks. With equal tenacity, the ladies fiercely rib, jab and expose each other’s deepest secrets. Even Marilyn’s devoted family get in on the action – all with a genuine wish to see the seemingly mean-spirited Abby happy.

Leaving from Manitowoc and Green Bay: The coach bus will pick up from UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus, and Hoffman Road park-and-ride in Green Bay. Before the show we will go to Nightingale Supper Club in Egg Harbor. After our meal is over, we will then go the Peninsula Players Theater. You will have some time to relax before the show. The venue has refreshments for purchase. The show begins at 8 p.m. After the play concludes you will be transported back to your pick-up site. The price for this day trip is $115, which includes transportation via coach bus from either site, ticket price for the play and a meal at the Nightingale Supper Club (four entrees to choose from with salad, potato choice, beverage and dessert).

Lifelong Learning Institute

If you are looking for more ways to expand your mind, body and spirit, the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) might be your answer. LLI is a friendly, member-led program, offering non-credit enrichment classes and activities in wide-ranging interest areas from history, science and technology to art, writing and music. We also offer tours to local landmarks. For an affordable annual fee, you gain access to up to 20 classes each semester.
