Fields of Interest:

My research interests include critical analyses of race and racism in teacher education, critical whiteness studies, and issues of equity in K-20 education. In particular, I study the relationships between institutional racism, structures and discourses of whiteness, and teaching and learning in higher education. Currently, I am working on analyses of how institutional equity initiatives tend to re-center rather than disrupt structures and discourses of whiteness and the implications for teacher education.
