Katie Czys

Katie Czys has a Master Degree in Counseling from Lakeland College. She is licensed through the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Substance Abuse Counselor – In Training, and an EMT - Paramedic.  She is also a sworn Police Officer and a Firefighter.  Katie has worked in varying aspects of law enforcement/emergency services since 2003.  She has served in positions in corrections, dispatch, emergency response/patrol, and investigations.  In March of 2014, she accepted her position as the Legal Services/Crisis Supervisor for Wood County Human Services.  In her current capacity, Katie oversees approximately 20 staff and is responsible for the units handling guardianships, adult protective service investigations, commitment/settlement agreement monitoring, the crisis intervention telephone line, crisis stabilization services (including mobile crisis and a crisis stabilization CBRF) and other similar services provided by Wood County Human Services.
