Nancy Tischbein

Nancy Tischbein is a Member Services Manager with Community Care Connections of Wisconsin which became Community Link Inc. as of January 1, 2017.  One of her roles is to assure Member Rights are maintained for all members. She provides annual training to all CCCW staff and provides some educational opportunities for providers in regards to member rights and Advanced Directives.
Nancy is an MCO Lead for the State Dementia Redesign and within her organization she has several roles related to the redesign:

1. She leads the Challenging Behavior work group where they take the topics determined by the redesign, work on how to improve or address these topics, make and implement plans. One thing they did was to create a Toolkit for providers to use to improve their ability to work effectively with their residents who have a dementia.
2. Nancy leads the Out of the Box Squad which is a group of CCCW staff that meet with providers to brainstorm situations, behavior, and approach to increase provider ability to work effectively with member.
3. She has participated in local Dementia Networks in several Northern Counties.

Prior to working for the local Family Care program, she spent 12 years working with residents who have a dementia or display negative behavior in a nursing home or a CBRF. Nancy provided training to staff twice a year regarding working effectively with a person who has a dementia and the basics of dementia.
She has also volunteered at and attended the Alzheimer’s Annual State Conference for the last several years.
Nancy has knowledge of dementia on a professional as well as personal level as several of her family members suffer with some type of dementia.
