Trainer, Certified Peer Specialist
I started working in human services after being encouraged to do so by others. I became a Certified Peer Specialist, working primarily in county CCS programs. I've also spent time in education programs, working with children with behavioral difficulties. Before working in human services, I was a member of the U.S. Army and later a remodeling contractor.  As an individual in recovery, I'm a firm believer in the person-centered, strength-based approach to recovery and strive to show that when working with others. Being a Certified Peer Specialist allows me to be an example to those new in recovery that recovery is possible. My personal experience in recovery, along with my firm belief in the person-centered, strength-based approach to recovery, allow me to develop a professional relationship with clients that shows them they can live a fulfilling, productive life.  Outside of work, I am active in Walleyes For Tomorrow and the Optimist Club. I'm an avid angler, guiding for walleye and whitefish through the ice and fishing numerous walleye tournaments.
