Username vs. Email

Some logins require your username, and some require your full email address. Your username is the prefix to your email without the @uwgb.edu. Canvas uses your username, and UW-Green Bay uses your full email. You will use the same password for all logins.

Creating Your UW-Green Bay Password

1. Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
2. Enter your UW-Green Bay email address provided by Program Coordinator in your orientation email. If you did not get an email, please contact academy@uwgb.edu.
3. Choose "I forgot my password" even though you don't have a password yet. The process for creating and resetting are the same.
4. Choose your method of verification.
5. Set up your new password, using this criteria:
   • Must be a minimum of 14 characters and not exceed 32 characters
   • Must be a mix of upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters
   • Must be changed every 180 days
   • Should not contain any personally identifiable information, such as user's first or last name

If you are having issues setting up your password, please contact the IT Help Desk at 920-465-2309. They will ask a few questions to confirm your identity, and then they should be able to help you create a password. If you are still having issues, please contact academy@uwgb.edu.

Accessing Your Student Email

1. Go to UW-Green Bay's email login. The email login can also be found on our homepage by clicking the button "Menu & Search."
2. Enter your email address and password

Notes About Your Email

• You will receive all of the emails UW-Green Bay students receive ― many won't pertain to you. If you're unsure if an email pertains to you or not, forward it to academy@uwgb.edu. We will tell you whether or not you need to pay attention to it.
• Get in the habit of checking this email daily. This is the primary way your instructors will communicate with you.

Accessing Your Digital Classroom Canvas

1. Go to www.uwgb.edu/canvas and choose "Canvas Login."
2. Enter your username (not email address) and password.
