Chartered in 2007, the UW-Green Bay Hmong Studies Center is charged with developing and facilitating courses in Hmong Studies, supporting student and faculty research and organizing on-campus events that will focus on Hmong life and culture, and feature leading scholars and professionals.

Examine the Intricacies
Learn the meaning and history of Hmong apparel collection designs.
The Center has a collection of Hmong apparel, embroidery and flower cloths from Laos, Minnesota and Thailand. The collection includes Lao Hmong boys' and girls' hats, Chinese Hmong boys' and girls' hats, women's dresses, jackets, sash panels and Paj ntaub (flower cloth). With history and origins from China, wartime Laos, Thailand refugee camps and U.S. relocations.
Hmong Interviews
The Archives and Area Research Center at UW-Green Bay has acquired a collection of interviews with Hmong residents in Green Bay in the 1990s. The collection also includes photos. To find out more, reach out to the Archives staff.
Community Board of Advisors
The Hmong Studies Center Community Board of Advisors, a group of young professionals, advise the Center staff on projects and issues of importance to the Hmong community in Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin.
