BRIDGE THE GAP

Jobs of today and careers of tomorrow are increasingly dependent on an education after high school.

The number of people who attend college in the region is far below the national average. Only 26% of residents in UW-Green Bay’s 16-county footprint have bachelor’s degrees; in Madison that number is 51%, in Milwaukee 35% and nationwide it’s 33%. With 70% of UW-Green Bay alumni living and working in Northeast Wisconsin, it's important that the University steps up to support the community.

How We'll Do It

Campaign Priorities

By supporting UW-Green Bay, you're also supporting Northeast Wisconsin. According to the Brookings Institute, over the course of a lifetime, the average bachelor’s degree holder will funnel $278,000 more into local economies than the average wage earner with no more than a high school diploma.

Ease Financial Burdens

“I chose UW-Green Bay for college because of its great accounting major and proximity to great companies in the area. Scholarships knocked off a lot of tuition costs for this semester and allowed me to pursue other ventures such as my internship at Plymouth Foam. I'm so grateful for receiving a scholarship that I only have two words: Thank you. It's a great weight off my shoulders and it makes me feel appreciated in the community.”
