Volunteer Night: HOPELINE for Suicide Awareness

Join us as we work with the great people from the HOPELINE for suicide prevention.
  • When: Thursday, March 28th, 5-6:30pm
  • Where: MAC Hall 237
Volunteer Night with the HOPELINE
  • Come volunteer to help the HOPELINE, a text-in (versus voice call-in) free service by the Center for Suicide Awareness, as they create HOPE boxes for those in need. Volunteers will help assemble the boxes and create affirmational messages to offer emotional support and resources to those who need it. Pizza will also be served!

More info about the HOPELINE can be found here: https://www.centerforsuicideawareness.org/

Please note: Although this event is sponsored by the Center for Suicide Awareness, mental health professionals will not be available at this event to assist with crisis needs. Instead, this event will provide a fun atmosphere to help and serve others. For those affected by suicide or depression, it is anticipated that this event would not trigger negative emotions, as topics involving suicide will not be discussed. However, if you are experiencing distress, prior to, during, or after the event, you can contact the Center for Suicide Awareness by texting 741741 at any time or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 24 hours a day, every day.
