Apply for Scholarships
need help to fund
your future?
There's an app(lication) for that.
And it's easier than you might think. Any admitted or continuing degree-seeking student may be considered for multiple need- and merit-based scholarships through the UW-Green Bay Foundation with one easy application.
UW-Green Bay Scholarship Timeline
Here's a quick overview of the scholarship timeline for funding through the UW-Green Bay Foundation to help you plan for your future.
When to Apply
- For maximum consideration, we recommend submitting all application materials for the upcoming academic year by February 15 (e.g., submit the 2025-2026 application prior to February 15, 2025).
- The scholarship selection process begins after February 15, but the application remains open until June 30.
- We also encourage eligible students to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
When You'll Be Notified
- Scholarship offers are sent through campus email beginning in March.
- We do not send “regret” emails because we continue making additional offers as more funding becomes available.
How to Accept Your Award in the Scholarship Portal
- Continuing Students: Register for fall classes by July 1.
- New Freshman: Register for fall classes or reserve any GB Orientation date by July 1.
- All students: Accept your award in the scholarship portal to initiate the thank you process by July 1.
It will appear in your "My Applications" screen as a pending action under "Needs Attention."
Donor Appreciation
University Advancement will provide scholarship recipients with information about thanking donors through campus email once students have accepted the scholarship through the portal. Log in to your UW-Green Bay inbox and look for a message with the following email header:
- From: scholarships@awardsmanagement.uwgb.edu
- Subject: Scholarship Action Requested: Thank Your Scholarship Donor
