Academic Accommodations
Access Support
We're here to help you with academic accommodations.
Your disabilities don't define you, and they don't limit your potential for success. With the right academic accommodations, you can overcome the challenges you face and achieve your academic goals. We're here to support you. Because academic accommodations are not retroactive, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Selecting Accommodations Each Semester
If you are approved for academic accommodations, you must log into GB Access each semester to select accommodations for your current classes. Follow the steps below to complete your selections and ensure your instructors are notified. If you need help, contact SAS at:
- Log into your GB Access account. Sign in with your UW-Green Bay email and password.
- Under the current term (fall, spring), click on +Add Requests.
- Select the classes where you need accommodations, then click Continue to Next Step.
- If you need the same accommodations for all selected classes, choose "Apply the Same Accommodations to All Selected Courses."
- If accommodations vary by class, select what you need for each class.
- If no don't need accommodations for a class, select "I do no need accommodations for this class."
- Click Submit Request, when finished.

Alternative Testing
You may qualify for various testing options, like extended time for testing, testing in a distraction-reduced space or use of adaptive software or text enlargement.

Alternative Formats
Print materials can be provided in alternative formats for students with the need to remove a reading barrier. One of the most common formats is electronic books.

Note-taking Help
You're in college. Taking notes is necessary. If you need assistance, there's an app, and web tool, for that!

Sign Language & Captions
We can coordinate qualified interpreters for classes and academically related events. You can also access captioned media.
