Advising

Pre-admission Advising

Students who are considering the Theatre & Dance major are strongly encouraged to arrange an advising appointment to discuss the program, the admissions process, and support courses they need to be taking. Contact the program at 920-465-2441 or contact us at riddlel@uwgb.edu for an appointment.

Ongoing Advising

All students in the program are assigned an advisor, and the program makes every effort to assign the student to the same advisor throughout his or her career.

Students in the program need to meet with their advisors at least once during each semester to review program requirements and prerequisites and assess additional supporting courses they may need to complete. Advisors also help students with planning their professional goals after graduation and assist students when they encounter challenges in completing their course or field work.

Any of the Theatre & Dance faculty can help students with advising questions. Theatre Academic Advisor Laura Riddle, riddlel@uwgb.edu, is an invaluable resource to prospective, incoming and current students, helping them to develop an academic plan that assures academic requirements are understood and met.

For more general advising questions please contact Academic Advising.

Student Evaluations

Every Spring, students are given the opportunity to sign up for a private evaluation session with members of the Theatre faculty. Student progress and plans are discussed and student feedback is welcomed. While the student evaluation is a good opportunity to express areas of interest including future production opportunities, faculty members welcome and urge students to speak with individual Theatre faculty throughout the year.

Senior Exit Interviews

Graduating students are asked to sign up for Senior Exit Interviews with a faculty member of their choice. At this time we hope to gather information about the undergraduate experience at UW-Green Bay and specific feedback on their experience in the major. We value our students' feedback and ideas and hope to continue a relationship beyond graduation.
