Workshops & Events

GET INSPIRED

Workshops and events open up more opportunities for you.

There’s a saying among woodsmen: “sharpen the saw.” Basically, in order to get better at your work, you have to take a break to “sharpen the saw.” Connecting with like-minded professionals, getting motivated and finding new opportunities can help re-energize your work and generate new ideas.

Are you career ready? Get the professional skills you need to impress employers.

Grow YOur Skills & Your Network

Attending job fairs, workshops and other events provides more real-world experiences and skills than what you learn in your classes. Most importantly, you can get connected with people in your field – maybe you’ll even meet your future boss.

Recordings of Past Workshops

Past workshops from UW-Green Bay Career Services are now available for viewing in an online archive. You can watch and learn how to choose a major, create a resume, prepare for an interview, virtual job fair and more. The archive also includes a recording of a webinar, "Munchies & Mingling," where you can learn the basics of networking in a small-group setting.

Get a Feel for Interviews

“I think the mock interview days are especially helpful. They're real hiring managers from well-known reputable companies in the area. It is just the least the least pressured situation. Because while they may be looking for candidates, it's not a real interview. Mock interview, right? You get the feel for what it's like. I did still feel nervous, which was good because you're gonna be nervous in an interview and it affects how you say things. So you go in, answer their interview questions. You get their immediate feedback on how you, did what you did well. And now going forward you're a name in their system. You know if they're looking for a position and you stood out well, you might be the first person they call!”
