Get Ready for Class

Earning a certificate in translation is a straightforward and flexible process.

Special Topics (Translation & Interpretation)

This variable content course will allow students to analyze seminal aspects pertaining to the language, history and cultures of Spain, Latin America and the Spanish-speaking communities in the United States. 

Translation & Interpretation

This seminar helps students apply their language knowledge and skills by working closely with Spanish faculty on specific translation and/or interpretation projects.

Spanish in the Professions

Spring or Summer Semester 2026

Advanced study of the language and vocabulary needed for use in specific professions, such as (but not limited to) business, social work, education, law enforcement or health care.

Exam Prep Boot Camp

The ATA Certification Exam is a rigorous test designed to assess professional translation skills. In preparation for the exam, you will attend an online exam prep bootcamp, during which you will review articles, checklists, advice from successful candidates and take a practice test to familiarize yourself with the exam format. 

Boot camp is included with certificate pricing, but it is also available as a stand-alone if your primary goal is to become an ATA-certified translator. The date and time of the boot camp will be shared after you register.
