About ASA

The purpose of the Accounting Students Association (ASA) is to encourage and support accounting students by strengthening interactions and communication among faculty, students and business professionals. Students in ASA work hard to become involved on campus, give back to the community and network with accounting firms and businesses. Our members make active decisions to get involved on campus and better themselves within the accounting profession through networking and becoming part of a group that supports each other. ASA provides many opportunities for the students to network with firms which often leads to internships or full-time positions upon graduation. Members of our organization join to give themselves an edge and work hard to make themselves stand out to the accounting professionals. Our organization helps to bridge the gap between students and accounting professionals not only in regard to networking, but also helping the accounting professionals improve and enhance their recruiting efforts. Also, ASA helps many accounting students get familiar with the CPA exam process.
