Gretchen Gilbertson

Gretchen Gilbertson

CEO, Co-Founder of Sèura, Inc.

Biography

Just 3 months after giving birth to their first child, Gretchen and her husband discovered a passion for an idea that would set the course for the next 20 years and forever change their lives. Both leading comfortable jobs in corporate America, neither dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur or starting a business. However, just one year after taking the first prototype to market and receiving instant national recognition, they collectively left their jobs to fully commit to the growth and success of the company they now call Séura (seer-ah).

For the last 18 years as Séura’s CEO, Gretchen has served as the company’s standards bearer for design excellence, as well as the cultural champion for a positive and productive employee environment. She and the Séura team continue to innovate products that eliminate the gap between technology and design. With the belief that innovative products come from inspired people, Gretchen works tirelessly to maintain a culture that is inclusive, collaborative, empowering, and inspiring–allowing Séura’s 90-plus employees to continue fueling the company’s growth from the ground up.

With a mission centered on “the perfect harmony of technology and design”,  Gretchen and her husband now run a successful company serving premium commercial and residential markets across the country, serving brands such as Disney, Marriott, MGM, Starbucks, Aveda, Dicks Sporting Goods, Allbirds, Michael Kors, and more. In her talk, Gretchen speaks about the raw truth of entrepreneurship and how she discovered the key business lessons that have helped shaped their success.
