Assistantships

Graduate research and teaching assistantships are available in Chemistry, Biology, and Geoscience to highly prepared graduate students admitted to the Environmental Science & Policy (ES&P) program. All students who apply for the program will be considered for available assistantships; there is no need to apply separately. Students receiving assistantships are expected to devote approximately 20 hours per week performing assigned duties.

Graduate Assistants receive:

Research Assistantships

Project-specific Research Assistantships are frequently available through externally supported faculty research projects. Students funded through specific research projects are required to contribute directly to the completion of project objectives, report to the principle investigator of each project, and generally tailor their thesis projects around these objectives. Project-associated assistantships are awarded through a selection process overseen by project principle-investigators. Students are encouraged to discuss these opportunities directly with potential major professors.
