Whether you're exploring new interests, advancing your career or preparing for a future graduate degree, a graduate certificate at UW-Green Bay may be right for you. These certificates—most of which are stackable to a UW-Green Bay graduate degree—offer graduate credit at a cost that respects your budget.

Choose Your Start Term
Because UW-Green Bay is transitioning to a new graduate application system, your application process depends on the term you plan to start. Choose your entry term below to find the right path forward. Application fees are non-refundable.
Fall 2026 Application
If you plan to begin classes in Fall 2026, you’ll apply using the Universities of Wisconsin application.
- Applications close: Late August 2026
- Classes Begin: September 2, 2026
Spring 2027 Application
If you plan to start in Spring 2027 or any future term, you’ll apply through GradCas, UW-Green Bay’s new graduate application system.
- Applications open: April 20, 2026
- Classes Begin: January 25, 2027
Admission Requirements
Graduate certificate students are not admitted to a degree program, so requirements are straightforward.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent).
- Official transcripts from institutions where a bachelor’s degree or higher was earned
Some graduate certificates may have additional requirements. Review the specific certificate page for details.
Degree-seeking Certificate Students
If you are already enrolled in a graduate degree program, you do not have to apply to any of the corresponding certificates. Simply submit a declaration form in SIS at no additional cost. Apply for a certificate only when you are not pursuing a degree and interested in a certificate for transfer, career advancement or personal enrichment.

Accelerated Master's Programs (AMP)
Undergraduate Students
Accelerated Master's Programs (AMP) at UW-Green Bay are designed for students interested in pursuing a graduate degree program upon completion of their baccalaureate degree. Undergraduate students accepted into select programs may take graduate-level courses that fulfill requirements for both an undergraduate and graduate degree at UW-Green Bay.
Graduate Degree
Graduate Certificate Students
If you decide to pursue a UW-Green Bay graduate degree, you must submit an application and be admitted. Certificates in your corresponding degree are stackable and can be used to fulfill degree requirements.
International Students
International applicants will also need to provide English proficiency, as well as a course-by-course evaluation of their transcript. For further information, please refer to the international requirements page.
