Admission Requirements

Graduate certificate students are not admitted to a degree program, so requirements are straightforward.

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent).
  • Official transcripts from institutions where a bachelor’s degree or higher was earned

Some graduate certificates may have additional requirements. Review the specific certificate page for details.

Degree-seeking Certificate Students

If you are already enrolled in a graduate degree program, you do not have to apply to any of the corresponding certificates. Simply submit a declaration form in SIS at no additional cost. Apply for a certificate only when you are not pursuing a degree and interested in a certificate for transfer, career advancement or personal enrichment.

Planning for the Future

We make it easy for you to plan for the future—whether you are an undergraduate student looking ahead to a graduate degree or a graduate certificate student planning ultimately to earn a graduate degree.
